From time to time, Down South Swing offers exciting one-day intensive courses. Sometimes they will be with your local DSS instructors, sometimes with special guest instructors. Often, the workshops will cover Swing-Era dances, but occasionally you will find a Tango, Hip-Hop, Belly dancing or other interesting class. You can be sure of one thing, though: They're always fun! Bobby White is an international swing dance instructor and also has a sordid past in theater. He has won championships of many different sorts and teaches Balboa, Lindy Hop, Solo Jazz, Collegiate Shag, and Charleston with his partner Kate Hedin. They have taught across America and Europe, as well as Canada, Korea, Australia, and New Zealand. He writes the swing dance blog Swungover and helps run world-famous The Jam Cellar in Washington, DC were he lives and plays recklessly with physics. But only in dancing.
