Down South Swing

Down South Swing is an organization that specializes in the dances of the Swing Era, including Swing, Lindy Hop, Charleston, Balboa, Blues and Vernacular Jazz. 

We offer the very best in Swing Dance instruction, performance and demonstrations.  Our instructors are among Atlanta's most award-winning and recognized dancers. These dancers and instructors are not only dedicated and passionate about the dances and their history, but they also all are individuals who intensely persue the dances of the swing era.  No where else in Atlanta will you find individuals who are more knowledgable, trained and genuinely passionate about swing dancing. 

We offer all levels of classes. Our highly experienced instructors all began as social dancers and therefore ensure their classes are a fun and comfortable experience for all.  We have a fundamental approach to teaching dancing that focuses on simplicity, connecting with your partner, and enjoying the music. We assure you that you will come out of the classes with the confidence and know how to get onto the dance floor and tear it up!

Maybe it will only be once in a blue moon or maybe it'll be every day, but our hope is that, no matter who you are, we'll see you on the dance floor!
